Orange Pekoe, or Ceylon, so called because of the orangish color of the leaves is one of the basic tea hybrids used as a component in blending many of the simple and flavored teas. It is also used to make most of the iced teas because of its mellow taste and clear beautiful color. You may have heard of this tea more popularly known as Ceylon because it originates from that small island off the coast of India previously called Ceylon but now known as Sri Lanka.
