MATCHA is an ancient Japanese green tea used for centuries in the Japanese Tea Ceremony.  Traditionally the tea ceremony was given in a tea house hosted by a trained Tea Master, who spent years learning the art.  Tea ceremonies were a very important part of life for the ancient Japanese and given mainly so that people could step away from the hardships and chaos of life to focus internally.  The ceremony itself is guided by a set of rules that the Tea Master learns over years of study. 

 

MATCHA is very different from any other tea you have ever had. The MATCHA leaf is ground into a fine powder and then is whipped with a bamboo whisk into very hot water.  This method of tea preparation allows your body to absorb so much more of the good vitamins and nutrients of green tea because you actually drink the leaf instead of steeping the leaves and then discarding them.  MATCHA is a wonderful way to get all the good properties of green tea.
